'Ghanchakkar' review: A lazily scripted film having comedy of errors which makes you bored

Ghanchakkar movie - 2013
Cast: Vidya Balan(Neetu), Emran Hashmi(Sanjay Athray)
Director: Raj Kumar Gupta(Director of 'No One Killed Jessica' and 'Aamir')
The mystery in 'Ghanchakkar' movie involves the suitcase containing stolen cash.
Sanjay Athray (Emran Hashmi) is a retired cat burglar, having ability to break open bank lockers and help thugs. His wife is Neetu (Vidya Balan) having bizarre sense of fashion. There is a terrific bank robbery scene involving a security guard and a matka kulfi, the inventive use of movie-star masks, and the unscheduled arrival of a cop who almost foils the plan.
Sanju and his two accomplices(for Bank Robbery) - Pandit (Rajesh Sharma) and Idrees (Namit Das) - stole Rs 35 crore in robbery. The entire cash is left with Sanju for the next three months, until the heat from the crime dies down. When these two guys return to claim their share, they discover Sanju has lost his memory in an accident, and can't remember either them or where he's hidden the bounty.
'Ghanchakkar' has all the ingredients for a dark comedy,The storytelling itself is inconsistent.
this lazily scripted film that makes you bored. The money is found in the end, but that's 2 hours and 17 minutes(The complete wastage) of your life that you'll never see again!
The film does have its share of highs but as a whole, fails to impress.
‘Ghanchakkar’, a film that has such heavyweights like Emran Hashmi and Vidya Balan as the cast, could have been a lot better.
Rating: 2/5
